BOOK EXCERPT

A small girl, four or five years old, spotted them as they approached the group. One pigtail had freed itself, and she was wearing a miniature neon fireman’s jacket with a rainbow tutu, butterfly wings, and a manic expression. She pulled her thumb out of her mouth with a pop and pointed a wet finger at Grok. “Look! Big kitty!”

Grok froze. He started to back away as if a bear had spotted him. But it was too late. A group of toddlers attacked. They tugged at his fur, swung his tail like a jump rope, and several declared he was big enough to ride like a pony.

"I loved this book and the talking cat!"

“It's a fun and entertaining read… I can’t wait for book 2”

“I LOVE Grok, he is freaking hilarious!”

BOOK EXCERPT

The cat, Grok, stared down at the sleeping form. He then smacked at it.

Amanda groaned and rolled over, the air mattress making obscene squeaking noises that Grok found offensive.

And he hadn’t been fed.

That seemed like provocation enough.

But he’d also had to work to find a way into the van to get to her. Fortunately, she had foolishly left the front doors unlocked.

But really, he didn’t need any more reason than being unfed. He didn’t like being forgotten.

Grok unsheathed a claw and held it high, then, with a quick slashing motion, sunk it deep into the air mattress.
